The Gilbert Public Safety Complex in Arizona includes headquarters space for the town's police and fire departments as well as a nine-courtroom municipal courthouse. The challenge of the $31.2 million project was creating a unified complex while promoting the discrete identities of the three tenants. Each of the three main areas is distinct and autonomous, which helps maintain clear security zones and control public access to more sensitive and secure areas of the building. Shared training/community rooms and short-term holding areas increase the overall efficiency of the complex.
