Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced the promotion of nearly 60 employees nationwide, including two staff members in its Fairfax, Virginia, office. The promotions coincide with Dewberry’s ongoing expansion of engineering, architectural, and consulting services in the Mid-Atlantic, where the firm has practiced since 1956.

The promotions include:

  • Mark Montgomery, PE, PMP, has been promoted to senior vice president. A civil engineer, Montgomery directs the firm’s disaster recovery services department and has more than 30 years of experience supporting federal agencies on large, complex programs. He has been involved with the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Public Assistance Program for nearly 15 years and has been responsible for the management of more than 425 task order assignments. Montgomery earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University (1987). He is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), American Public Works Association (APWA), and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
  • Jane Frantz, AICP, PMP, CFM, has been promoted to vice president. Frantz is the client management director for the resilience solutions group and Dewberry’s FEMA client manager. She has extensive experience completing disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation project assignments for local and federal agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and FEMA. She has led the development of FEMA-approved local and regional mitigation plans, encompassing more than 275 communities nationwide. Frantz earned a master’s in urban and regional planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2004) and a bachelor’s in public policy from the College of William & Mary (1997).
