Dewberry announced that Will Oren, AIA, NCARB, has been hired as a senior project
architect in its Sacramento, California, office.
Oren brings a unique understanding of global
architecture, having worked on projects in China, France, and Morocco. He has
been in the industry for more than 12 years and specializes in mirroring the
built environment with other related industries, including engineering and
construction. Since joining Dewberry, Oren has supported the Philz Coffee
project, which emphasizes creating welcoming environments in existing
structures.
In his new role, Oren is responsible for design,
documentation, preparation of design-build criteria, and client and
subconsultant coordination for projects related to healthcare, food and
beverage, and commercial markets.
“As an architect, it is exciting to be part of a
multidiscipline firm to contribute to and draw upon the diversity of knowledge
and resources,” says Oren. “I think integrated projects enhance context and
increase the potential for creativity and problem-solving, and I look forward
to tapping into other disciplines and perspectives to create the best projects
for clients and our communities.”
Oren earned a master’s degree in architecture from
the University of California at Berkeley (2007) and a bachelor’s degree in
psychology from Harvard University (2001).
