Dewberry announced that David Cooke has been hired in its DeLand, Florida, office as a senior project manager for transportation and land planning and development projects.

Cooke joins the firm to serve as an office manager and to oversee projects related to transportation, municipalities, and land development. His client base includes the City of Deltona, Volusia County, and Stetson University among others. Cooke brings with him more than three decades of experience managing transportation planning, design, and engineering projects; National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) projects; plans preparation and processing; right-of-way appraisal and acquisition; the eminent domain process; and cost estimates. He spent the last ten years working for the Florida Department of Transportation, where he was involved with the award-winning Broadway Bridge in Daytona Beach.

Cooke earned his bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Central Florida (1993).
