Dewberry announced that Patrick Domres has joined the firm as a senior environmental scientist in the Long Beach, California, office.

At Dewberry, Domres will be responsible for working with the Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001:2015, which includes auditing, gap assessments, and project management. He will also provide environmental compliance auditing, specializing in hazardous waste management in California and Washington.

Domres brings more than 18 years of experience working with ports, railroads, and private-sector clients. His environmental compliance assessment program for the Port of Seattle and the Port of Everett helped fix environmental compliance issues for the ports' tenants, built stronger tenant relationships, and achieved sustainable goals. Domres also helped the Port of Los Angeles become certified in the EMS ISO 14001:2015 standard.

Domres holds a master's degree in environmental studies from The Evergreen State College (2005) and a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from Pacific Lutheran University (2000). He is a member of the Washington Public Port Association and the Northwest Environmental Business Council.
