Dewberry announced that Steve Kuntz, PE, DBIA, has been promoted to transportation business unit manager in the firm's Fairfax, Virginia, office. In his new position, Kuntz will be responsible for managing the mid-Atlantic region transportation service line.

With 20 years of experience in civil engineering, Kuntz has served as a project manager or roadway design manager on numerous projects, ranging from large design-build projects to design-bid-build transportation projects throughout the Northern Virginia area. His portfolio includes serving as the project manager for the I-64 Capacity Improvements - Segment 1 and Segment 3 projects, the I-95/Route 630 (Courthouse Road) Interchange and Widening, the I-66/Route 29/Linton Hall Road Interchange, the Route 28 Public Private Transportation Act (PPTA) Improvements, and numerous other major transportation infrastructure projects in Virginia and Maryland.

Kuntz earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1999). He is a licensed professional engineer in Virginia, Maryland, and Georgia, a designated design-build professional, and a member of the Design-Build Institute of America.
