Dewberry has announced the promotion of more than 80 employees nationwide, including 17 staff members within the firm's New Jersey and New York offices. The promotions coincide with Dewberry's ongoing expansion of engineering, architectural, and consulting services in the Northeast region, where the firm has practiced for more than 60 years.

New Jersey

In Dewberry's Bloomfield and Parsippany offices, promotions include:

  • John Coffey, PE, was promoted to associate vice president and manages the transportation group in the Bloomfield office.

  • Eric Boschen, PE, Bryan Garbasz, PE, and James Gazzale, PE, PLS, were promoted to senior associate in Bloomfield. Boschen manages the water resources department. He earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (1989). Garbasz manages the office's structural engineering group and earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Rutgers (1996). Gazzale is the geotechnical department manager. He earned a master's in geotechnical engineering (1994) and a bachelor's in civil engineering technology (1987) from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Gazzale is a professional engineer in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

  • Steven Ruskan, EIT, and Manuel Vera Caraballo, PE, were promoted to associate in the Bloomfield office. Ruskan is a project manager in the construction services group and earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Rutgers (1984). Vera Caraballo is the assistant department manager for the structural engineering group. He earned a master's in structural engineering from Cornell University (2007) and a bachelor's in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico (2006).

  • Steven Eget, PE, CEM, James Heeren, PE, ENV SP, Mario Iannelli, PE, and Douglas Sullivan were promoted to senior associate in Parsippany. Eget is the environmental group manager. He earned a master's in environmental engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology (2004) and a bachelor's in civil engineering from Rutgers (1994). Eget is a professional engineer in New Jersey and New York. Heeren is a senior environmental engineer. He earned a master's in environmental engineering (1995) and a bachelor's in civil engineering (1990) from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Heeren is a professional engineer in Georgia and New Jersey. Iannelli is the land development department manager for the site/civil group. He earned a master's in geoenvironmental engineering (2001) and a bachelor's in civil engineering (1993) from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a bachelor's in engineering science from Upsala College (1992).   • Steven Benosky, PE, Charles Stebbins, CPG, CHMM, LSRP, and Joanne Slaman, RA, NCARB, were promoted to associate in Parsippany. Benosky is a senior project manager in the water resources group and earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Clarkson University (1995). He is a professional engineer in New Jersey and a professional civil engineer in Massachusetts. Stebbins is a senior project manager and senior geologist in the environmental group. He earned a master's in construction management from the Stevens Institute of Technology (1999) and a bachelor's in geology from Rutgers (1991).   • Nicholas Saponara, PE, was promoted to senior associate and is the assistant department manager in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) group. He earned a master's in business administration (2000) and a bachelor's in mechanical engineering (1990) from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a professional engineer in Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C., and a professional heating and ventilation engineer in Massachusetts.

  • Rhonda Cardone, Jason Lee, PE, and Gregory Mueller, PE, LEED AP BD+C, were promoted to associate. Cardone manages the office marketing department supporting the transportation, water resources, site/civil, building structures, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing groups. She earned a bachelor's in communications and English from Seton Hall University (1981). Lee is assistant department manager in the building structures group.
