Dewberry's Lisa Peterson Earns Land Surveyor License

First woman to hold dual Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor licenses in Southern New Jersey.

Dewberry has announced that Lisa Peterson, PE, PLS, CME, has recently become a licensed land surveyor in the state of New Jersey. She is presently one of only four women in New Jersey to hold dual licensure as a professional engineer and a professional land surveyor, meeting the four year college education requirements.

At Dewberry, Peterson serves as the transportation services manager in the firm's Mount Laurel, New Jersey, office. She has more than 15 years of experience as a transportation engineer and project manager specializing in highway design. Currently, she is managing several New Jersey Department of Transportation projects, including the Route 49 Buckshutem Intersection Improvements in Cumberland County and ADA Curb Ramp Compliance Upgrades in Camden County.

Peterson earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in survey engineering technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She is a professional engineer, professional land surveyor, and a certified municipal engineer. She is a trustee on the foundation board for the Burlington County Institute of Technology, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Women's Transportation Seminar.
