Rick Cintron and Scott Bickar Join Dewberry's Transportation Team

Design engineers bring transportation expertise to firm’s Orlando, Florida, office.

Dewberry announced that Rick Cintron, PE, and Scott Bickar, PE, have been hired as senior project engineers in the transportation design group. Both Cintron and Bickar work in the firm's Orlando, Florida, office.

In his new role, Cintron is responsible for drainage designs for various transportation projects. He has more than 10 years of experience in design, analysis, and permitting for roadway drainage and stormwater management facilities. Additionally, he has permitted stormwater facilities through multiple water management agencies in Florida and North Carolina, and prepared stormwater system designs, contract plans, and estimates for the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX), Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, and the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Currently, Cintron is working as staff member on the State Road (SR) 436 milling, resurfacing, and drainage improvement project.

Cintron earned a master's and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida and is a professional engineer in Florida and North Carolina.

With more than 15 years of experience in traffic engineering studies and design, Bickar's new role includes designing maintenance of traffic plans, signing and pavement markings, and traffic signals. He also conducts traffic reviews for CFX's general engineering consultant contract. Prior to joining Dewberry, he worked as a transportation designer for a nationally recognized firm, where he analyzed intersection and roadway networks, developed and reviewed traffic impact studies, and prepared traffic control, signal, and signing/pavement marking plans. Bickar is currently the traffic engineer for the SR 436 milling and resurfacing project and is responsible for developing signing and pavement marking plans, traffic control plans, and signalization plans.

Bickar earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is a professional engineer in Florida and Pennsylvania.
