Dewberry announced that Brandon Delis, PE, has been hired as the national power generation leader for its energy division. In this new role, he will work with power generation clients across the country to understand their needs and offer solutions relevant to their financial parameters. Delis is based in the firm's Charlotte, North Carolina, office.

Delis joins the firm with more than 17 years of experience in the power industry with a diverse set of capabilities, including plant engineering, project management, and corporate strategy development. He has held multiple senior-level positions at Duke Energy, including the management of more than 30 personnel and numerous projects with a value of up to $250 million annually. Most recently, Delis served as the director for Duke Energy's program development and integration group, which focused on the development of programmatic solutions to issues impacting Duke Energy's fossil fleet.

He has also worked on several power generation projects, including large environmental controls retrofits, upgrades to the existing William H. Zimmer Power Station, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) scrubbers, and preliminary engineering on the Edwardsport Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) plant. More recent leadership roles with Duke Energy include management of compliance strategies for Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS), Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR), and Steam Electric Effluent Guidelines regulations.

Delis earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Kentucky and is a professional engineer in Kentucky. Over the years, he has been an active power industry advisor on research projects related to environmental compliance, namely Electric Power Research Institute programs and carbon capture research.
