Dewberry Announces the Promotions of Steven Eget, Doug Sullivan, and Jim Gazzale

Managers promoted to associates in the firm’s Parsippany and Bloomfield, New Jersey, offices.

Dewberry is pleased to announce the promotions of Steven Eget, PE, CEM, Doug Sullivan, and Jim Gazzale, PE, PLS, to associates in the firm's Parsippany and Bloomfield, New Jersey, offices.

Steven Eget, an environmental group manager, has more than 24 years of consulting experience. His skills include environmental permitting and compliance, sustainability, industrial hygiene, and renewable energy. He has also been involved in two award-winning, multi-million dollar, on-call engineering service contracts for state and federal agencies, both meriting national significance. The awards include the U.S. Department of Energy's Public Private Partnership Award for Privation of Physical Plant at the University of Maryland and the American Council of Engineering Companies Award for the Fulton Street Transit Center in New York City.

After earning a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University, Eget went on to earn a master's degree in environmental engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a licensed engineer in New York and New Jersey. He is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the National Academy of Science's Transportation Research Board.

With more than 31 years of experience in project and program management, Doug Sullivan leads a group of environmental engineers and scientists in hazardous waste investigation and remediation and environmental compliance. He is experienced in supporting local, state, and federal government and private-sector clients. As part of these contracts, he is responsible for work order negotiations, project control and budgeting, assigning and directing staff, and scheduling.

Sullivan earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Norwich University and is a member and fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers.

Jim Gazzale is assistant department head for the geotechnical division and has more than 35 years of experience in public- and private-sector projects. His experience includes the determination of appropriate methods and procedures for subsurface investigations, soil and rock testing, slope stability, foundation design and analysis, and construction engineering.

Gazzale earned an associate's degree in civil engineering from Middlesex County College and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in geotechnical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a licensed engineer in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania and a professional land surveyor in New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors, the Deep Foundation Institute, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
