Dewberry Welcomes Ecological and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Expertise of Jeffrey Shamas

NEPA expert will support firm's environmental services.

Dewberry has hired Jeffrey Shamas, PWS, CE, as a senior project manager in the firm's New Haven, Connecticut, office.

With more than 25 years of experience, Shamas will provide environmental services to the telecommunications, transportation, energy, land development, and utilities services across the country. Prior to joining Dewberry, he managed transportation, telecommunications, land planning and development, energy pipeline and power transmission line projects. He has extensive knowledge in environmental permitting, stormwater management, soil science, botany, planting plan design, wetland assessments and mitigation design, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, wildlife studies, and coastal habitat evaluations. At Dewberry he is currently working on several projects in the telecommunications, transportation, and land development sectors.

Shamas earned his bachelor's degree in ecology from Johnson State College. He is a certified ecologist and a professional wetland scientist. He is a member of the Ecological Society of America, the Society of Wetland Scientists, PCIA – The Wireless Infrastructure Association, and the Audubon Society.
