Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has been selected by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to resurface State Road 436 (East Altamonte Drive) from Boston Avenue to Anchor Road and design dual left turn lane additions for eastbound traffic at State Road 436 onto County Road 427 (Ronald Reagan Boulevard).

The firm will widen, analyze access management, design ADA-compliant upgrades, and improve signalization and drainage systems for two miles of roadway. New left turn lanes will alleviate congestion and provide more room for Altamonte Springs drivers with wider northern portions of State Road 436. Dewberry will also oversee lidar acquisition and develop a community awareness plan to address impacts to landowners, residents, and regional transit networks.

"We understand the importance this project has to the surrounding community," said Vu Vu, Dewberry associate and project manager. "We will focus on delivering cost-effective, innovative solutions that prioritize public safety and the community's best interests."
