Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has hired Lisa Peterson, PE, as a transportation services manager in the firm's Mount Laurel, New Jersey, office.

Peterson has more than 13 years of experience in transportation engineering and project management. Her expertise includes bridge replacements, highway drainage improvements, and interchange design improvements.

During Peterson’s previous tenure with Dewberry, she was involved with the award-winning New Jersey Turnpike Interchange 6-9 widening project, as well as the Route 3 over the Passaic River project. She is currently working on a number of transportation improvement projects in New Jersey, including preliminary engineering for the Route 49 Buckshutem Road intersection in Cumberland County, the ADA South pedestrian curb ramp improvement project in Camden County, and the final design for the Route 70 Red Lion Road to Dakota Trail in Burlington County.

Peterson earned her bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and her bachelor's degree in survey engineering technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She is a member of the South Jersey branches of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Society of Highway Engineers, and the Philadelphia branch of the Women's Transportation Seminar.
