This release was originally issued by Sand Springs Parks and Recreation on June 16, 2009. PSA-Dewberry designed the facility.

Users of the new Case Community Center can now visit the facility via the internet. A new series of 360-degree panoramic views of the 26,000 square foot multipurpose center present an interactive virtual tour for the online guest and is now ready for public use.

"We're pleased to add this time-saving and high-tech tool for the public to enjoy," stated Doug Enevoldsen, City Manager for the City of Sand Springs. "We hope the public will access and enjoy this tool often when making rental plans at the Case Center."

To access the tour, simply visit the City's website address at www.sandspringsok.org and follow the drop down menu options in this manner: "Points of Interest- Case Community Center- Virtual Tour". The web address will reveal professionally photographed images from around the building that have been electronically "stitched" together to create the illusion of an uninterrupted panoramic view. The virtual tour was created successfully by local Sand Springs video production company Smith Productions, and even included the use of a remote control helicopter to produce aerial views. A brief demonstration of this new interactive web feature is scheduled during the June 22nd City Council meeting.

There are nine different "hot spots" offered from the interactive map you'll find online. Simply click on one of these hot spots and manipulate the mouse to change the virtual view you want to see.

Potential rental users of the Case Community Center are encouraged to familiarize themselves with this powerful tool. It will assist them in making future plans for special events, meetings, family reunions, parties and more at the center. Rental pricing information is also available within the Case Community Center drop down menu.

The center is open Monday-Saturday from 8am until 10pm and Sunday from 1pm until 9pm. The facility offers free use of the gym, walking track, Nautilus strength equipment, ping-pong, Wii and Sony Playstation game equipment. These spaces may be closed periodically for private rental usage. Please call the front desk of the Case Community Center at 246-2661 for schedule information.

The facility has been heavily utilized in its opening months with a peak of over 13,600 tracked guests in February. Last fall, the facility received an Award of Excellence as a recreational facility by the Oklahoma Recreation and Parks Society.

The Case Community Center recognizes Mike and Pat Case as the project's Title Sponsors following their steadfast commitment to this community and this project. The Case's provided additional private funding toward the critical center.
