Professional services firm gains new office director in Chicago, Illinois, office


Jeff_ConroyPSA-Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has named Jeffrey Conroy, FAIA, to the position of office director in the firm’s Chicago, Illinois, office. In his new role, Conroy will be responsible for managing the Chicago office and increasing business development locally and nationally, with a special focus on higher education.

Conroy’s previous experience includes programming, planning, and design of higher education facilities, including academic and science buildings, student housing, and athletic facilities. He has experience in management and market sector leadership while successfully building client relations. Conroy’s work history includes planning of the first carbon-neutral campus at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs; design of Founders Hall, a 200-bed student house, dining, and bookstore complex at the University of Illinois at Springfield; and programming and master planning of seven venue sites for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.

Conroy holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition to being a licensed architect in the state of Illinois, Conroy is a LEED® accredited professional and certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is an American Institute of Architects Fellow and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Society for College and University Planning.
