Ronald L. Ewing, PE, RLS
Ronald L. Ewing, PE, RLS, served as chief executive officer at Dewberry from 2005 through April 2010, and as chief operating officer from 2002-2005. Prior to joining Dewberry, Mr. Ewing was a regional general manager for a large international firm and was responsible for a staff of over 1,100 with gross revenue of $140 million. He has participated in the due diligence, acquisition, and integration of several firms.
Mr. Ewing has more than 35 years of planning, engineering, and management experience, focusing on transportation, aviation, water resources and major public works projects. He has overseen large-scale infrastructure improvement projects for clients throughout the United States, with expertise ranging from design-build transportation and aviation facilities to water/wastewater treatment plants and private developments.
Mr. Ewing holds registrations as both a licensed professional engineer and a registered land surveyor. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers; he is past chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Professional Development Committee, served on the executive committee, and is presently ACEC Management Practice Committee Chair and ACEC Liaison to the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. He is also chair of George Mason University's Civil Engineering Institute Advisory Board. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from California State University.
