Dewberry is fully-versed in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements. Dewberry prepares checklists and other documentation for Categorical Exclusion Documentation/initial studies, prepares Environmental Assessments, and develops Environmental Impact Statements and alternatives as well as impact analyses and mitigation measures. In all of our work, we advocate early consultation with regulatory agencies and stakeholders – a proven method for minimizing the costs and time necessary to realize a project.

Ellis Island Enhanced Access Study
Jersey City, NJ
As part of an effort to enhance access to Ellis Island, part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument, Dewberry prepared a draft NEPA Environmental Impact Statement and evaluated and developed a number of alternatives to improve access between the island and Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.
