Khondker Achieves ASCE Life Member Status

Dr. Sufian Khondker, PE, D.WRE, recently achieved life member status from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) due to his dedication and active member status during his career.

Dr. Khondker is a world-renowned engineer with more than 40 years of experience in hydraulics and river engineering, as well as geotechnical and civil engineering aspects of complex water resources and infrastructure projects. His expertise has been sought worldwide for troubleshooting, consulting, and value engineering assignments.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khondker has co-authored three technical books and authored more than 30 technical papers, which were presented at various national and international conferences. His biosketch was published by Marquis’ Who's Who in the World, and the U.S. Congress has recognized his 40 years of experience as an engineering expert and countless contributions to the field of science and technology. He also serves as an expert panelist for Voice of America, a radio program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Dr. Khondker has been a member of ASCE since 1974 and a Fellow since 1995.
