Fire Station Design

As requirements for advanced training and rapid response continue to increase, we work closely with career and volunteer firefighters to design flexible and efficient fire stations that will serve communities effectively for many years. We have designed many sustainable, high-performing facilities that streamline activity and response time while providing comfortable staff accommodations. We understand the need to provide adequate space for training, equipment, and storage, and to minimize long-term maintenance requirements.

Urban or Rural, the Fire Station as Civic Landmark

Many of our fire station facilities include community spaces and serve as appealing civic landmarks, whether located in urban environments or rural neighborhoods. We have also created many fire stations as part of shared municipal facilities that conserve community budgets and resources.

Our experience includes fully equipped training and simulation facilities. These specialized environments offer indoor and outdoor venues for specific drills and emergency exercises; and include vehicle training areas, simulators, burn towers, high-velocity water rescue, and real-life town settings, as well as academic facilities for associated classroom instruction.
